Who Am I?
Hi, I’m James!
I have been to many pub trivia nights in my time, but one in particular really sticks out for me. I used to frequent my local quiz night in Putney and loved the regular dose of excitement on an otherwise boring Monday night. The host was entertaining and original, and I kept on going back for more. After a while an opportunity came up for me to host it myself.
Once I had a taste of hosting a quiz, I was lucky enough to have the chance to expand my own quiz night to a few different venues around London.
Quiz Coconut Was Born!
In 2014, we made it official and started the Quiz Coconut you know and love today. We’ve since hosted over 500 trivia events in 50+ pubs over London and asked well over 15,000 quiz questions! In addition, the team has hosted corporate events for global companies such as Google, Pepsi, Deloitte and Disney. From corporate holiday parties, engagement celebrations and fundraisers for charities such as Alzheimer’s Society, Macmillan and Pancreatic Cancer Research, we’ve done it all!
Since 2014, we’ve hosted over 2,000 events for a variety of companies across UK and Canada.
Who We Are
As we near our 10 year anniversary in 2024, we’re proud to say we’ve reached many milestones that at one point we could have only ever dreamed of.
Our team has grown to 6 hosts stationed across the globe, bringing fresh life in to the traditional quiz concept.
We’ve also appeared on Sky News and we had a recurring slot on NewsTalk 1010!
In 2020, the pandemic forced us to take our trademark fun online – where we crafted a Zoom-based experience that we could offer our clients so they could maintain and build culture remotely. It was a tough time for many, but we were pleased to be able to bring a small amount of enjoyment to people’s days. 500 virtual events later and 10,000 attendees entertained, they still remain popular for companies with remote workers.
In 2021 we launched a podcast (like everyone else!) A weekly trivia podcast, just ten questions an episode. We’ve since had 350,000 downloads and a healthy number of regular listeners.
